what is going on with the weather, relentless sun, wind and small or no swell.

checked the south coast today at lunchtime with james and again after work but nothing, and the wind really was blowing a hoolie offshore.

so i decided to take the boards off the roof – i doubt i will use them now before the weekend.

Asked Marilia if i could go to lisbon and stay with her……what a result!  i can go for the weekend of 1st July.  infact , her response was – claro k sim!. Vou adorar a tua companhia…beijinhos

get your dictionaries out babies – it was a good one.  she is a 100% hottie – no doubt.  she was no doubt impressed with the fact that i text her completely in portuguese…

so i am looking at the train timetables now to see if it iw worth going on the train or to take the car.  lisbon is a three hour drive and the motorway is a peage so it will get a little expensive.

Russ´s daughter Kiki, drew me a snail today while she was at the workshop.  I asked her to colour it red and blue.  when she gave it to me, i very politely asked if the snail had a name , to which this querky four year old replied – its only paper, it doesnt have a name!

So i was told!

Krept upto Pedralva at lunch time, i heard there was a place up there for sale.  Pedralva is just up the west coast a little from here, a small collection of less than 50 houses, many derelict – the place has only recently got mains electricity.

Anyway, the place was pretty cool but now we have to find the woman that owns it – any detectives out there please make yourself known, we are now looking for an irish widdow living in birmingham area.

i forgot to add, Gorgeous George is one of our customers – Mechanics to the stars we are!!!

the place is finally emptying, all the trendy lisbonites are packing up and heading to the city again.  Cant say i will miss them, they tend to worry too much about how they look or what they wear for my taste.

And talk about attitude!!!!!! I guess that is just city life and what it does to you.

well i checked a shed load of beaches today looking for some surf to test the newly fixed long board but there was nothing – mareta, tonel, ingrina, zavial, tolheiro, ponte ruiva, castelejho and cordoama – all not work getting suited up for, which also means no photos of the longboard launch just yet.

heres hoping for a new midweek swell when all the tourists have gone, preferrable on the south coast so i can hit it at lunchtime and take rescue roland with me too ( the official space photographer)

board is finally finished and loaded on th ecar – i love the smell of surf wax first thing in the morning.

Rescue has agreed to be the photographer tomorrow so look out for the board, the shorts and the wipe out.

all being well, new photos  on the site tomorrow night

it almost is now.  fully resined up, just needs a sand in the morning and then a good waxing – be on the crest of a wave for sunday.

my fault i know, i shouldnt have thrown the core of a peach in the bin but i woke up one morning this week to find a trail of ants coming under my door, to my bin.  that on its own isnt remarkable but get this, they also found their way into my freezer but couldnt get back out so frooze to death – ironically, i dont have any food in my freezer

on the opposite side of the coin, they head for the kettle too – some like it hot i guess

need to let it cure, sand it again and then add my final coat of resin, by tonight, all should be good, maybe even get a surf on it tomorrow – i am getting excited now !!!
